Against The Dark

J’ai visionné en fin de semaine un film dirigé par Richard Crudo d’un texte de Mathew Klickstein……………………..

Le film Against the Dark est un film d’action horreur mettant en vedette Steven Seagal(tao), Tanoai Reed(Tagart), Jenna Harrison(Dorothy), David Midwinter(Morgan), Emma Catherwood(Amelia), Stephen Hagan(Ricky), Daniel Percival(Dylan), Skye Bennett(Charlotte), Tania Dobre(Attendant #1), Mihaela Constantin(Attendant#2), Linden Ashby(Cross), Keith David(LT.Waters), Clay Donahue Fontenot(Harrington), Stephen Haynes(Soldier) and Stefan Lancu(Young Boy) .

A part deux ou trois de ces acteurs qui sont un peu connus en plus de l’acteur/cascadeur très connu qui est la doublure officielle de l’acteur ”The Rock” les autres sont de parfaits inconnues. On se croirait dans un complot d’espionnage industriel tant le film nous fait penser è plusieurs films en même temps exemple; ce film est un mélange de Resident Evil , de Quarantine ou Rec et de Zombie Diary de Romero et de Highlander. Si vous aimez les zombies , les batailles de samourai et les membres arrachés et éparpillés , si vous aimez les virus qui prennent le contrôle de la population terrienne , le sang et si vous aimez faire le saut ce film est pour vous sinon faite autre chose!

Pas un grand classique de Seagal qui pourtant avait commencé sa carrière avec une couple de bons films d’action mais qui depuis plus de 10 ans nous fait des petits films vite fait seulement encaissé les billets. Serais-t’il cassé à ce point , aurait-il des dettes qu’il n’ arrive plus à remboursé ou est-il trop cheap pour ce payé des gros noms pour ces films d’actions.Je comprend qu’il est connue mais comme acteur de série B seulementmais quand même il exagère dans le ridicule et ses répliques sont tellement nulles qu’ont se croirait dans une école de théâtre en première année et sa coupe de cheveux , pourrait-il la changer car son look est vraiment dépassé quelqu’un devrait lui dire!!!!

Steven Seagal est né le 110 Avril 1951 à Lansing au Michigan, à l’âge de 7ans il découvre les arts martiaux et il s’entraine au karaté pour devenir maitre dans la discipline. Vers la fin des années 60 il va rester au Japon pour faire l’apprentissage ultime dans diverse discipline et deviens ceinture noire en karaté, kendo, Aïkido, Kung-Fu , d’ailleurs il sera instructeur d’aïkido à Osaka au Japon où il y aura son propre dojo.Il touchera au monde du cinéma en entrant par la porte de côté des studios en devenant l’entraineur d’art martiaux officiel de plusieurs grandes vedettes comme Sean Connery , James Mason. Il tournera son premier film en 1988” Above The Law” , il y sera aussi le scénariste et le producteur.

Il fait partie de la génération de films d’actions blockbusters avec les Jean-Claude Van Damme , Sylvester Stallone , Chuck Norris, Arnold Swchwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren. Il tourne ensuite en 1992 Under Siege et Under siege 2 en 1995 où il y joue un ancien seal de la navy américaine spécialiste dans le contre-terrorisme. Il est aussi musicien il joue de la guitare et a déjà fait 2 concerts et et 2 albums. Il est aussi tout comme Richardx Gere un activiste pour la protection de l’environnement et la protection des espèces en voie de disparition comme le Panda d’Asie. Il supporte aussi la cause du Dalai Lama exilé de force de son pays à cause de l’envahisseur Chinois.

La spiritualité et le Bouddhisme ont un rôle important dans sa vie. Les 7 à 8 premiers films étaient des films potables ensuite il nous a sorti une vingtaine de flops pourquoi?????? l’argent en cause le manque de budget on le saura peut-être un jour………………………………………….
