Le plus grand film de Bogart se passe dans une ville extraordinaire contrôler par les nazis pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale est témoin de l’histoire de Victor Laszlo (Paul Heinred) qui travaille pour la résistance rechercher par les nazis doit sortir de cette ville barricader par le troisième Reich car il détient deux lettres importantes, des transits que les allemands aimerait avoir les mains sur mais il demandera l’aide de Rick Blaine un américain qui n’a pas froid aux yeux et n’est pas aveugle n’ont plus car il retombera amoureux de la femme de Laszlo Ilsa jouée par nulle autre que la séduisante Ingrid Bergman qui fera n’importe quoi pour acheté la liberté de son mari, même le tromper!

“I am the Lorax! I speak for the trees!” The original televised version of The Lorax is an animated version of the Dr. Seuss book. It differs from the motion picture in theatres now in both length and plot. The original version is a cautionary tale of the dangers of greed and destroying the environment. It is more stripped down than the movie version; namely, because it is only 25 minutes long. The main characters are the Once-ler and the Lorax. There is no other plot to this version beyond the Once-ler’s story of what happened to the Truffula trees, the brown Barbaloots and Humming-fish.
The colours have been vividly restored for the Blu-Ray edition. Unlike the new film, it features the animation popularized in the Dr. Seuss books. This version is definitely nostalgic for those who grew up watching this on television. This is the version that I remember watching as a child…repeatedly. Also, Dr. Seuss purists will appreciate how closely this version follows the book. The message is strong and was a predecessor to the current environmental movement. But there is a message of hope and a possibility of the Once-ler helping to make a brighter future despite his mistakes. DELOCATED: Season One and Two on DVD

If you are a fan of the awkward moments best captured by a sitcom reality-mockumentary: this is definitely the show for you. Imagine a hybrid of Michael Scott from The Office and Phil Dunphy from Modern Family as a man in the witness protection program whom is sought after by the Russian Mafia. Despite the attempts on their lives, they move to New York City to film a reality television show: that is Delocated in a nutshell.
The series stars “Jon” (Jon Glaser) who is never seen or heard without a ski mask and voice-modulator. The show opens with Jon, his wife “Susan” (Nadia Dajani) and son “David” (Jacob Kogan) with masks and disguised voices moving to New York City. Soon after, Susan leaves Jon and unmasks herself and their son. The audience is soon introduced to Yvgeny Mirminsky (Eugene Mirman), the Russian Mafia assassin/ aspiring stand-up comedian who is vying to kill Jon. PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE (Blu-ray)
Quand on pense aux débuts de Tim Burton, on a tendance à croire que tout a commencé avec Beetlejuice en 1988. De même, on associe fortement Pee-Wee Herman à son émission Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, diffusée sur CBS de 1986 à 1990. Et pourtant, dans les deux cas, tout a commencé bien avant. Paul Reubens a en fait créé son personnage sur scène autour de 1978, en collaboration avec le regretté Phil Hartman; à l’époque, Pee-Wee était un personnage plus adulte sous ses allures enfantines, un aspect de sa personnalité qui sera mis au rancart pour le rendre plus accessible pour les enfants. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2: Blu-Ray 3D
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part Two is the final film of J.K Rowling’s series. Like Part One, it is directed by David Yates who holds nothing back for the movie. Almost the entire magical cast of the series appears in the final chapter: Hagrid, the professors at Hogwarts, the Order of the Phoenix and (spoiler alert!) some of the deceased characters appear.
It picks up effortlessly from where the first part left off. The trio has escaped from the clutches of the Death Eaters just in time. Harry, Ron and Hermione must find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes to finally stop Lord Voldemort. To do so, they must break into the magical Gringotts bank and also find a way back into Hogwarts. The movie builds up to a final epic battle scene featuring much of the cast. Also, at last Harry and Voldemort will meet one-on-one: only one will come out alive.

The final film is a nearly-perfect end to the series. Though there were a few minor changes made from the book and some things left out, the majority of the plot remains intact. Diehard fans may object to some of the changes made but the film flows well, has a good pace and stays fairly true to the novel. GANTZ 2: Perfect Answer (Blu-ray-dvd)

This Orson Welles classic is also known as the “Greatest Film of All Time”. Enormous controversy surrounded almost every aspect of this film: from its rookie director and lead actor, to its closed-set production, to the criticism that followed its release in 1941. The character of Charles Foster Kane is said to be based on wealthy newspaper tycoon, William Randolph Hearst. The comparison was another controversy that threatened the release.
Citizen Kane is the story of Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) who started from simple beginnings and grew to inherit a large fortune. The film opens with his death and the uttering of his last word, “Rosebud,” what follows is an attempt by journalists to piece together his life to find out what “Rosebud” meant to Kane. A portrait of the man is formed solely through the description of others. It is a jigsaw puzzle that is missing one piece, “Rosebud”. The narrative jumps through the past as more characters describe Kane. He was a man who lived extravagantly but was never able to be completely satisfied with his possessions. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1: Blu-Ray
It was a good idea to split the final Harry Potter novel into two films. The final films are more authentic because there is more content included in the films. David Yates took on the task of directing the final two films. Having also directed the 5th and 6th installments, he has a good grasp of which parts of J.K Rowling’s work. There are also features that die-hard fans will object to but the first film closes enough of the plot while still leaving a good cliff-hanger for the second film.
This film marks the beginning of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron’s (Rupert Grint) journey to find and destroy Lord Voldemort’s (Ralph Fiennes) Horcruxes. The three friends must go into hiding to find the Horcruxes without drawing Voldemort’s attention. They must rely on each other to piece together not only where and what the Horcruxes but also how to destroy them. As Voldemort and his army of Death Eaters get stronger, the trio must stick together to complete their mission.

There is something bittersweet about the final films of the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the second to last book of the series and the third to last film. The film is directed by David Yates. Once more, the director’s style shines through and differentiates it from the others. Yates has a detail –oriented style that is both intricate and expansive. It seems that every detail has been explicitly planned and filmed.
The plot of the film continues to get darker and more dramatic as the series comes to a close. In this film, Harry is once more coming to terms with what has happened in the previous one. He is coping with the death of his godfather. He is also reeling with the prophecy that he learns at the end of the last film. The sixth film shows the continuation of maturing themes. The main characters are growing up. Whereas, the last movie was filled with angst and anger; this one is filled with lust and love. New love interests play a bit part in this film and it foreshadows what’s to come in the last two films. The mysterious Half-Blood Prince is (whom –SPOILER ALERT—is featured on the cover of the Steelbook edition) only revealed in the end but his presence is seen through Harry’s use of his potions and spells.
The cast remains mostly the same with a few new additions. Jim Broadbent joins the cast as Professor Horace Slughorn. In the film, Broadbent does as only he can; he plays a character that is despicable for constantly dropping names of the important people he has taught. Yet he plays it with vulnerability and likeability that is somewhat undeserved. Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort does not have a huge role in this film. However, the character of Voldemort appears throughout in flashbacks, as a child and as a teenage student at Hogwarts. The flashbacks are through the use of the Pensieve, a magical tool that allows others to view someone’s memories. Dumbledore takes Harry into the Pensieve to help piece together how to destroy Voldemort. It is then that the audience fully understands what a Horcrux is and how it will play into the next films. [Blu-ray Review] MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS

Kelly Albert of Cinemaniax.Net gives a review about the film Meet Me in St. Louis from Warner Home Video starring Judy Garland, Margaret O’Brien, Mary Astor, Lucille Bremer and Leon Ames.
Meet Me in St. Louis is a musical that permeates pop-culture more than most realize. Not only did the film make a cameo in the first Sex and the City movie; the score has been sung (or parodied) in both films and television since its debut. Released in 1944, the film is directed by Vincente Minnelli and is beautifully-shot in Technicolor. The film continued Garland’s success as a film star but also resulted in her marriage to Minnelli and their daughter, Liza (with a Z!).
The story takes place in St. Louis in 1903 and follows the Smith family in the year leading up to the World’s Fair. Judy Garland is Ester Smith and leads the film as the middle child of the family. Ester tries to woo the boy next door all while ensuring that her older sister, Rose, gets a proposal too. John Truett (Tom Drake) is the neighbor of the Smith family; he fails to notice Ester until the Smiths’ host a going-away-to-university party for older brother, Lonny. All the meanwhile, the family prepares as excitement for the World Fair.
The film shifts from the different members of the Smith family. In particular, there is a funny Halloween scene featuring Tootie and Agnes, the two youngest Smith daughters. The plot twists as Alonzo, the Smith family patriarch, announces that he has accepted a job in New York. The family is to move from St. Louis after Christmas, just a few short months before the World’s Fair. Deux ans après les événements de Las Vegas, Phil, Alan, Stu et Doug se rendent en Thaïlande pour célébrer le mariage de Stu avec la ravissante Lauren. Ils y rencontrent le frère de la mariée, Teddy, un jeune surdoué qui fait la fierté de son père. Malgré toutes les précautions de Stu, les trois acolytes se réveillent un matin à la veille du mariage dans une chambre d’hôtel de Bangkok, où ils apprennent qu’ils ont fêté toute la nuit avec Mr. Chow. Sans oublier que Teddy a disparu. Ils devront donc retrouver leurs esprits et retrouver le jeune homme avant de se présenter au mariage.
